Safety Mission Statement

IPAA members believe that ensuring the safety of their workforce is a paramount objective. Providing a secure work environment promotes responsible operations and translates into increased productivity. The independent producer recognizes that a "one size fits all" approach to safety management will not apply to every production operation.

Consequently, IPAA will make safety management information available to its members that will be gathered from member companies and affiliated organizations as well as from commercial safety program vendors. This information on methods to provide a proven, safe environment during the exploration and production of oil and natural gas will allow producers to assess various examples of successful programs. Each producer may avail themselves of the information provided and tailor that information to their particular operation and needs.

Below is a list of established safety links that provide pertinent safety information to producers and their employees:

	American Petroleum Institute (API)
	This site provides the latest information on newly developed standards and recommended practices, a synopsis and background information on industry related regs and issues, as well as notices of upcoming API safety workshops and conferences.
	Association of Energy Service Companies (AESC)
	This site provides a broad safety and waste management resource link as well as info on AESC
	International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC)
	This site regularly posts IADC "Safety Alerts," noting incident, cause of incident and corrective action taken, as well as IADC safety meetign schedule and publications.
